What exactly are the laws concerning smoking cigs, not weed, in bangkok or the rest of thailand. I feel like ive gone through a million reddit posts but its still unclear. Bought 5Baht gold. 3 chains in total for a gift. I was quoted 1,400 per baht but my friend who previously bought same design at same branch was charged 1,200 for 1 baht chain 2months ago. So we tried to negotiate, sales man got irritated and said dont buy if you dont want. It was very rude and he took the chain from us and said he doesn't want to sell. After negotiation, he settled for 1,200. I would've paid 1,400 not an issue but it was utterly disrespectful for customer who genuinely heard good reviews from HSG. These scammers and the number of them are getting way out of control now. I have photos of at least a dozen. The number of them have increased and the frequency I’m seeing them in the same area. I’ve stopped at several tourists getting scammed by some of them. Hello everyone! My friend and I are visiting Bangkok for the month of July this year for a surgery and while they’ll be recovering they’ll still be able to explore the city a bit. We aren’t big parties or drinkers so a lot of the research we’ve done already into Bangkok’s LGBT friendly culture hasn’t peaked our interest except for the drag shows so I wanted to come on here and ask. Yeah I know the word „luxury“ is thrown at everything in the condo market here. Still I thought paying a bit more would give you better quality. I have viewed places at the „higher end“ condos like Esse 36, Beatniq, Rhythm Ekkamai Estate, Essa at Singha Complex. Literally all of them had issues that I could not believe in that price range. Half of the facilities broken or under maintenance with no end date, rooms that have no hot water because of the „wiring“ in the building and ACs not being able to cool the room down, run down rooms with mold everywhere for condos that are 3 years old. And of course agents trying to make up stories about super luxury and „will be fixed soon“. I‘m just ranting rn but still kinda surprised. I‘m changing my approach now and not looking for flashy facilities anymore. Can someone maybe recommend condos that feel nice and reliable? I‘ve been thinking of maybe the Ideo (Mobi) Line. Third day in Bangkok, haven't taken a single tuktuk or taxi, never met the guy, but when I tried entering the grand palace a tuktuk driver nearby told me the entrance is closed "because of lunch". He told me to go the other way and pointed down the outer palace walls. Okay, so I walk down the sidewalk, turn at the corner of Phu Pha Suthat Fort (I think that's the name of it), I walked some more and come across what seems like a side entrance for staff. It was closed. I walked back to the main entrance, annoyed, and just went straight for the entrance. I just went in, no problem. No obvious sign of a mysterious "lunch break", the place was packed with tourists. The question is why? I've never met the man and he didn't ask for anything.
