Hi, just wanted to add my story to the list of stories if you Google/search reddit for route 66. I am a bit of a progressive/techno aficionado, American, brown skin color - two nights in a row was initially denied entry from route 66 being informed only people with advance reservations are allowed in. I was dressed appropriately for a night out, I know how to act. I went next door to Onyx the first night and met a couple Brits, teamed up for the night out, they said they had already been to route 66, no advance res, no table purchase , were confused about why I had been denied but said likely because I was brown, they wanted to go back and, saying I was with them, I was allowed entry. The next night, a Sunday, I went to a techno show and it was dead, wanting club style nightlight for my last night in town, a lot of the spots dead I ended up walking up to route 66 and was told the same thing.
