offer helps or companion for Bangkok visit.

hi, i can provide helps or companion for your Bangkok visit, for free or maybe a pint in return. as a couchsurfer my self, been helping many individuals and groups for their visit in Bangkok. i couldn't provide you a couch at the moment, but i can offer my time. the reason why i want to do this is very simple, i am really annoying to see how local ripped off or con the tourist from small things to huge amount of money. i live in Bangkok, i can speak Thai, English, Malay, Chinese and Cantonese. if you want to go to explore some certain area or places in Bangkok but worry that will be scamming you, let me know. anyway, let's see how this is work. good day everyone. submitted by /u/prez0n [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/9sOuSwx Bangkok Hotel Deals

Electronics - custom cables

Working on a hobby project and I need some custom cables made. I’m looking for a shop/person in Thailand who can make a small number of custom connector cables for an Arduino PCB prototype. I need: • JST-XH 3P → 3-pin male Dupont/servo connector — for SG90 servos • JST-XH 4P → 4-pin female Dupont connector — for HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors • JST-XH 3P → 3-pin female Dupont connector — for PIR sensors • JST-XH 3P → 3-pin LED connector — for WS2812B LED strips • JST-PH 2.0 2P → 4×AA battery holder Ideally around 15–20 cm long. I can provide the exact pin order/pinout for each cable. I only need a few of each initially for testing prototypes. Does anyone know a shop/supplier in Bangkok/Thailand that can make these, or someone who could make them for me? What's the situation around Phra Khanong pumping station

Hello, bit of a weird question - what has been the flooding situation around the Phra Khanong pumping station, more specifically on Soi Moo Baan Mahawong? I have a big bike parked there in a garage, maybe 20cm above street level, and wondering if it's become a jet ski by now. submitted by /u/zipponap [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/cBJLOVd Bangkok Hotel Deals

Why Thai Airways keep things transparent

I have been following Thai Airways flights from past 2 days. Their status consistently is so opaque. At the last moment they tell travelers on the right status. As an Airline you know and can predict your commitment based on the load and the man power you have. It’s so disappointing that they don’t update any on the actual delay and folks are continuously suffering. We need to get this stopped from them submitted by /u/Organic-Flan1649 [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/NB0gx7c Bangkok Hotel Deals

Has anyone flown into DMK the past few days?

We're flying back home through DMK tomorrow evening and want to know how delayed processing is? Are flights being heavily delayed? Is immigration taking long? How quickly is luggage coming out? Trying to decide whether or not to delay our flight a few days. Thanks in advance and hope you're all staying safe! submitted by /u/Unlikely_Entry_5145 [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/cBPvqs1 Bangkok Hotel Deals

Anyone living in Thailand looking to meet some new people?

I’m putting together a small outdoor experience around Bang Kachao where people who don’t know each other come together for a day and just see what happens. No tour bus. No fixed tourist itinerary. 🎣 Fishing with locals 🔥 Cook what we catch together 🚲 Explore Bang Kachao & the small paths 🌿 Canals, nature & local life 🪢 Make a handmade dreamcatcher 🍳 Outdoor cooking 🏕️ Hang out, talk, music & campfire 📸 Take some photos along the way You don’t need to know how to fish and you don’t need to bring much. The whole idea is basically: Strangers → meet → explore → eat → laugh → go home with a story. 💰 Normally ฿1,420/person 🔥 ฿420/person for advance booking 📍 Bang Kachao, Bangkok 📅 Any day with advance booking 👥 Small groups 🌎 Expats, travelers & locals welcome If you’ve been living in Thailand for a while and want to do something that isn’t just another bar, mall or tourist attraction, this is probably a different kind of day. ...

Question About Bangkok

I’m planning on going to one of The Weeknd shows in Bangkok but it looks like the shows are in the middle of monsoon season. What does Rajamangala Stadium usually do for concerts during monsoon season (when there’s a high chance of thunderstorms and tons of rain)? How often are concerts cancelled during this time of year? submitted by /u/doubleAY_ [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/Npan5lG Bangkok Hotel Deals

Where to stay in Bangkok for 3 weeks

Hi! I'll have a home office in October, so I've decided to seize the opportunity to try the life of a digital nomad for three weeks. I've bought flights to Bangkok. I'm now looking for an Airbnb apartment and would like to ask which part of town would be the best. During the day, I'll be working in my room for eight hours, with only short breaks to eat breakfast and lunch somewhere nearby. After work, I want to travel around the city, enjoy everything it has to offer, and maybe do some sports (jogging, but maybe something else as well). After doing some research, I was considering the area close to the Asok, Nana and Phloen Chit stations, as it was recommended as a place with lots of bars and places to hang out. However, I'm now wondering if it's a little too touristy and dangerous. If I've understood correctly, these are parts of the red light district, which might be a bit too chaotic for me. I'm also wondering if everything might be a bit more e...

Expats who've used Siriraj or Rama was it difficult to navigate

A few of us are doctors at Siriraj and Ramathibodi and were talking about how these hospitals have really good specialists, but can be pretty confusing for foreigners to access unless you go through the more expensive premium services (SiPH) or private hospitals. We're thinking of testing something small on weekends where we help you figure out which clinic/specialist to see, prepare documents and appointments, and optionally have someone help translate during the visit. Thinking somewhere below 500 baht per visit for the basic service. Would this actually be of interest for you guys? submitted by /u/Prototype31910 [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/nPlLy0z Bangkok Hotel Deals

Street food spice levels

I’m not a huge spice guy and I’m going a country known for good spicy food lol. But my question is will I get a lot of pushback for asking to adjust the spice level? Where in Bangkok that I can pay to just store a suitcase for a couple weeks?

I'm traveling to Thailand for roughly 16 days in november, the first three days of my journey are going to be in Bangkok where I plan to see the temples and eat food etc, during that time I also want to do some shopping at the malls and whatnot . After that I'm going to krabi and Chiang Mai . I'm wondering if there's anywhere that I can just drop a suitcase off to store for the week and a half I'll be gone and I can pick it up on my way back out of bangkok. Best rooftop bar for a Monday night – AETHER, Akara, Tichuca or Octave?

We’re looking for a rooftop bar in Bangkok to go to around 10 PM on a Monday , just for drinks and to enjoy the night — no dinner. We’d love somewhere that has a really open-air rooftop , great Bangkok views, good music/DJ, a lively crowd and enough of a vibe that we can dance a little if we feel like it. We’re not looking for a full-on nightclub or underground/techno party, but we also don’t want a quiet rooftop where everyone is just sitting at tables. So far I’m considering: AETHER Akara Sky Hanuman Tichuca Octave Tichuca originally looked perfect because I love the completely open rooftop and atmosphere, but I’ve read quite a few comments saying it’s very touristy/overrated, so I’m wondering if one of the others would be better. Which one would you choose specifically for a Monday around 10 PM–midnight? Does any of them still have a good crowd/DJ/dancing vibe on a Monday? Also very open to other rooftop suggestions that fit what we’re looking for! submitted by ...

Solo guy from Pakistan visiting Bangkok Jan 20–27 — is the "no single foreign men at clubs" thing real, or overblown?

Hey everyone 👋 Booked my first Bangkok trip — 6 nights, Jan 21–27 , flying in from Pakistan. Not a beach guy at all; I'm here purely for the nightlife — EDM clubs, rooftop bars, the whole scene (RCA, Sukhumvit, etc.). Here's my worry, and I'd love honest local/traveler input: I keep reading that solo male travelers — especially Asian/South Asian — sometimes get turned away at clubs. I've partied in Dubai and other places and never hit this, so I don't know if it's a real, common thing in Bangkok or just a few bad anecdotes blown up online. So, straight questions: Is being a solo bachelor actually a problem at the big clubs (Onyx, Insanity, Levels, etc.), or is entry usually fine? Does nationality/being South Asian genuinely affect entry, or is it more about dress code / attitude / timing? Any tips to avoid getting knocked back — dress code, arriving earlier, booking ahead, table minimums? Any specific clubs known to be solo-friendly (or on...

Coworking space with Monitors

Hello! I’m in Pak Kret (almost Bangkok :P) and I have a remote job. I work from a co-working space here but it’s not ideal for me, opens late, seating is not comfortable for long hours etc. Help me find one that opens early (9am) and has monitors. Corkage fee at Laem Charoen Seafood CentralWorld?

Hi! Has anyone recently brought their own wine or Champagne to Laem Charoen Seafood at CentralWorld? I’m visiting Bangkok next month and would like to bring one 750ml bottle of Champagne for lunch. Where to find molam, psychedelic Thai music, shoegaze & alternative music in Bangkok?

I’m going to be in Bangkok and I’m looking for places to hear some interesting local music. I did search around Reddit and online, but a lot of the recommendations I found seem to be a few years old, so I’m hoping to get some current recommendations for 2026. I’d especially love to find somewhere playing molam, records or live, as well as Thai psychedelic music, psych rock, experimental stuff, etc. I’m also really into shoegaze, dream pop, noise, indie/alternative, post-rock, and experimental music, if anyone knows any good spots or shows in the next weeks let me know! Streets that completely change vibe depending on the hour

Hello all! This is just a friendly reminder that the biggest video games show of the year is coming up again. You can get details and early bird tickets to go on their website . I am unaffiliated with the event and just wanted to post a reminder to everyone so you can get in on the cheap tickets. I am not sure if it will be going up in price later on or not, so this is your warning. From my personal experience I would recommend getting the fast pass as the queues were huge last year. Transportation From Bangkok to Khao Yai

Does anyone have recommendations based on firsthand experience for car / taxi service from Bangkok to Khao Yai, and from Khao Yai back to Bangkok ? BTS LINEPay Payment

Has anyone else noticed that the LINE Pay option for paying for BTS rides has disappeared recently? I think I first noticed it around a week ago. It used to be available as a payment option, but now I don’t see it anymore. The Weeknd Bangkok – StubHub paper tickets: €120 vs €1,200 for similar sections + when should I order?

Hi everyone, I'm travelling to Bangkok for The Weeknd concert at Rajamangala National Stadium on October 13. I've been looking at tickets on StubHub and I'm confused by the pricing. I'm seeing some tickets for around €120–€200, while other tickets in what seem to be very similar sections are listed for €1,000–€1,200+. For example, I saw seats on opposite sides of the stadium with what looks like a pretty similar view, but one was around €180 and the other was over €1,200. I understand that StubHub is a resale marketplace and sellers choose their own prices, but is this kind of difference normal? Should I be suspicious of the €120–€200 listings, or is it more likely that some sellers are just asking ridiculous prices? My second concern is delivery. I'll arrive in Bangkok on September 30 and the concert is October 13. The listings I'm looking at say they're paper tickets delivered by FedEx, rather than mobile/e-tickets. For anyone familiar with Thai con...

What to do about my 45 day trip with the 30 day visa exemption rule taking place soon?

I have a trip booked for 6 weeks, leaving end of September from Canada. I understand the new visa exemption rule takes place September 15th. Now I have a Roundtrip booked, however it is 6 weeks as mentioned, It was booked about 2-3 months ago. Now this will be my third trip to Thailand, I have never been questioned at immigration as I have stayed a total of 6-8 weeks in the past at a time with the 60 day visa exemption in the past. With this new rule taking place, I understand I will have to extend my stay at the immigration office. However, will I have problems at immigration or heading in to Thailand with the new rule taking place on the 15th, given I won't have a tourist visa entering, with my stay being 45 days instead of the 30 day visa free? How would i approach this as I have a month before departure submitted by /u/Worth-Trip-834 [link] [comments] The Bangkok Community https://ift.tt/Eh7zXqV Bangkok Hotel Deals
