Is 1200THB making charge at Hua Seng Heng is good or costly?

Bought 5Baht gold. 3 chains in total for a gift. I was quoted 1,400 per baht but my friend who previously bought same design at same branch was charged 1,200 for 1 baht chain 2months ago. So we tried to negotiate, sales man got irritated and said dont buy if you dont want. It was very rude and he took the chain from us and said he doesn't want to sell. After negotiation, he settled for 1,200. I would've paid 1,400 not an issue but it was utterly disrespectful for customer who genuinely heard good reviews from HSG.
