Stories of people getting injured from Songkran

Over the years I’ve come across quite a few expats who’ve ended up injured during Songkran.

Things like dirty canal water getting in ears and causing serious infections, water guns hitting eyes and doing damage, plus all kinds of other infections. Not to mention the usual accidents that come with people being drunk.

Makes you realize Songkran isn’t exactly risk-free.

What kinds of dangerous situations have you seen or heard about during Songkran ?
