Back in 2021, I moved to Bangkok with a group of friends.I paid 40,000 baht as a bond, but the lease was in one of the other girl’s names. When I left, I made sure to find replacement tenants to take over my spot, so there was no loss of rent from my side and to help the rest of the tenants.
However, another girl in the house left early and didn’t replace herself. Instead of dealing with that properly, the others used my bond money to cover the rent for the house. When I asked for my bond back, the girl on the lease refused, saying I had “broken the lease” - even though I had gone out of my way to replace myself.
Any advice/appreciation with this would be super helpful.
