Studying Thai and living in Bangkok

Me and my buddy, both in ours 20s want to learn more about the Thai culture and better understand the Thai people and country. The long term plan is to live in this beautiful country.

So we thought it would be an interesting and smart idea to start with step 1 and learn Thai while we live in Bangkok for a while. I already found a reputable school which offers a 14 month course + ED visa.

Essentially this should give us a better understanding of what Thailand (bkk) is and isn’t. Especially by living there for 14 months and not just traveling around, which we already done a couple of times.

I would highly appreciate some tips from people with experience. like some general advice, ED visa vs DTV visa, renting a condo, to do’s and not to do’s. Etc…
