Anyone ever had to get an emergency Canadian passport?

Hey all, long story short, latest visa/wp renewal yesterday filled up my passport, and I'm heading back to Canada in a few weeks. I don't need a free page to enter/exit Canada (they use biometrics), but I think I will probably need a free page to exit/re-enter Thailand. I'm sure there's 1/8 page somewhere they could begrudgingly use, but might be safer to get an emergency/temp passport from the embassy in Bangkok. Anyone ever had any experience with this? Time is getting short. :-/
