Can I use a forex Visa/Mastercard debit card at Banana IT or iPhone shops in MBK Mall?

Hi everyone!

I'm traveling to Bangkok soon and plan to shop at MBK Mall, specifically at Banana IT (for electronics) and the iPhone shops (like Studio 7 or iStudio). I use a Niyo debit card (Visa/Mastercard) issued in India.

Has anyone recently used a Niyo card (or similar international Visa/Mastercard) at:

1. Banana IT in MBK Mall?

2. iPhone stores/resellers in MBK Mall?

I've heard some stores in Thailand prefer cash or local cards.

Any tips or recent experiences would be super helpful!

Were there any issues with foreign transaction fees or declines?

Should I carry cash as a backup?
