Looking for Education and Career advice
I am from India, and I have work experience as an associate software engineer for one year, and I have a bachelor's in computer science with a 3 GPA, good GRE, and TOEFL scores. I am thinking of pursuing a master's in computer science or an MBA/finance degree in Thailand at one of these universities: Chula, Thammasat, NIDA, Mohidol, and Sasin. What are the realistic salary expectations after graduating from one of these programs? I read in multiple subreddits saying that expats at companies like Agoda make north of 100-120k THB per month as a junior-mid-level role, but it sounds too good to be true. I am unsure how Indians are viewed there after a lot of bad civic behaviour from my countrymen, which is unfortunate, and I am slightly ashamed of that, but I am willing to learn the language and respect the culture and assimilate, hopefully. I enrolled in Thai classes as well and am hoping to get some grasp by the time I get there.
Does my plan sound realistic and good enough for someone looking for a long-term life in Thailand?
How is a degree from one of these countries looked upon in other Asian countries if I fail to land a job in Thailand?
I have the option to pursue my master's in the USA but will need to take huge amounts of student loans and deal with unfavourable visas. Coming back home with a huge amount of loan is scary and not something I can afford. I can manage to afford my education and living expenses in Thailand with the help of my family funding me at least, as it will be half of what it would be in the US, and at least I can contribute to the Thai society for hosting me in their country.
