Does Bangkok have any footwear (shoe/sneaker/sandal) stores where products are displayed by size, i.e. you go to a specific size section to see all the models they have available, and perhaps try them out on your own?
This is the way it works in, say, Payless Shoe Source in Malaysia or Indonesia, and I find it really convenient.
Most Thai stores seem to only display models, and then you have to ask the sales people for the size. This is awkward since for me the answer for is "no size" 90% of the time (sometimes after they spend time searching around). Seems bothersome to both me and the employees to ask about 10 different models to find one or two available in my size... and then most likely walk away if the price or the look don't suit me.
